I’m passionate about making therapy approachable.
Meet Cody:A therapist who wasn’t so into therapy the first time around.
Cody Qureshi is a Marriage and Family Therapist who works primarily with immigrants, first-generation Americans, and others navigating therapy for the first time - often pushing past cultural stigmas around mental health.
Cody is deeply committed to making mental health care more accessible and believes the world would be a better place if more people went to therapy. But she's also seen how confusing and overwhelming the process of starting can be.
She wrote I Didn't Want to Either to empower readers on their mental wellness journey - whether they're preparing for their first session or not yet ready to seek professional help. The book offers the practical tools and insider knowledge that make therapy feel less daunting and more doable.
Cody holds a B.A. in Psychology from Chapman University and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Originally from Atlanta, she has lived in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and currently resides in California with her husband and two children.
Change is possible.Build awareness
Sometimes we know what works and what doesn’t work for us, and other times it can seem like a big mystery. Building awareness is the first step to a new life.
Make a change
The keys to change are intentionality and commitment. Be focused on how you want to think and feel in this next step of your journey.
Keep it going
Keep your new and improved life by incorporating factors that will set you up for success, while keeping you away from self-sabotage.
Are you into DIY self-improvement? My new book might be up your alley. Mental health can be an intimidating topic to zoom in on in your life, but my book will be the sword and shield to help you tackle any challenges that are currently holding you back when it comes to mindset and mental health.
I include many lessons from my work as a therapist and coach in the book, which you can get a front-row seat to in the meantime by enrolling in one of my individual or group coaching options.
